Optical brighener FP-127 is a light yellow powder, and a melting point of 219-221 ℃.it is blue color, It is 

suitable for whitening various plastic products, especially for PVC and polystyrene with better compatibility 

and whitening effect. It is especially suitable for soft PVC products. It has the advantages of long-term storage 

without yellowing and fading

Compared with the optical brightener OB-1, FP- 127 has no migration problem, better weather resistance

and stability, but the temperature resistance of FP-127 is not as strong as OB-1, but it can also withstand 

the temperature of 220 ℃, which meets the production temperature of most PVC.

PVC: whitening: 0.01-0.05% (10-50g / 100kg material);

Transparency: 0.-0.001% (0.1-1g / 100kg material)

What is fluorescent brightener OB-1?

  • Excellent high temperature resistance: It is one of the      fluorescent brighteners with the best heat resistance among all current      fluorescent brightener products. With a melting point of 350-355°C and      being able to withstand a high temperature of 375°C, it can adapt to the      high-temperature environment in most plastic processing processes.   • Wide application range: It has good      compatibility with most polymers and can be widely used in the whitening      of chemical fibers such as polyester fiber, nylon fiber, polypropylene      fiber, etc., as well as the whitening and brightening of plastic products      such as polypropylene plastics and various engineering plastics. It can      also be used in the conventional polymerization of polyester and nylon.

  • High cost performance: It has a relatively      low price among brighteners, and the addition amount is small, which can      reduce costs for production enterprises.

  • Stable chemical properties: Insoluble in water,      slightly soluble in ethanol, dimethylformamide, benzene, toluene, etc.,      and has very low solubility in other organic solvents. It is resistant to      strong acids and alkalis and has good resistance to sunlight and chlorine      bleaching.

  • Low toxicity: It can be used for whitening plastic products      for food packaging and children's toys, and the potential harm to human      health is relatively small.

  • Poor weather resistance: Under the same      addition amount and temperature and humidity, the migration and      precipitation amount is large, and the product is more prone to yellowing      and discoloration. The long-term stability is not ideal. If there are      high requirements for product stability, such as plastic products exposed      outdoors for a long time, fluorescent brightener OB-1 is not suitable.

  • Poor dispersibility: Compared with some other fluorescent      brighteners, the dispersibility of OB-1 is not good enough. In the use      process, some special dispersion measures may need to be taken to ensure      its uniform dispersion in the plastic matrix.
